Various Voices is a pan-European choral festival aimed at gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender choirs and choruses. Following the wonderful 2009 festival in London, Dublin is ready to take the reins!
Traditionally, the festival spans a four-day weekend, launching about mid-day on Friday, with a closing ceremony on Monday evening. During the festival, each registered choir will be given a 30-minute slot to perform to the festival, with delegates attending each mini-concert. There is a schedule of workshops and events for each day and a show each evening, so there is always something to do!
Everyone wants to be part of something amazing. They want to meet thousands of incredible people, work on something huge or just have a fantastic time, but wouldn’t it be brilliant if all that happened at once?
It’s a massive event, the biggest event like it in Ireland’s history. So it makes sense that we try and make it the best event it can be, but to make history, we need help. We need a powerful army of volunteers to help make history, to help make Various Voices Dublin an event that people remember for a long, long time to come.
The work opportunities are incredible. From marketing and PR, to festival management and organisation. This is an event for thousands of people from around the globe across three world-class venues. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss.
So, why not be part of something amazing? It’s time for Dublin to shine and time to welcome the world.
Let’s make history!
